Work Placement
Students must complete 120 hours of work in an aged care facility as part of the qualification. The work placement includes mandatory conditions detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the relevant units of competency.
Students commence work placement once classroom training has been attended and concluded.
Enrolment Requirements
There are no prerequisites for this course. Students are required to have proficiency in Language, Literacy and Numeracy to a minimum of ACSF Level 3.
This is assessed through an LLN test completed on site before enrolment. The test normally takes approximately 15–20 minutes.
Once a suitable result has been achieved, students are required to complete the enrolment form. Students must also have a USI (Unique Student Identifier) to complete Nationally Recognised Training.

To be eligible, students must have left school, have their primary place of residence in Western Australia, and meet the applicable citizenship or visa requirements.
