Training Location

Unit 2/22 Winton Rd, Joondalup WA 6027. The venue is only a 10-minute walk from Joondalup Train Station and is conveniently located near the Mitchell Freeway via the Hodges Drive exit. Ample on-site parking is available.

Delivery & Duration

This course is delivered in a classroom environment through a combination of face -to-face as well as virtual modes. The duration of classroom delivery is approximately 20 weeks.
 

Course Units

To achieve this qualification, students must demonstrate competency in 10 units. The package consists of 7 core units and 3 elective units, as listed below:

Core:

  • CHCCCS044 Follow established person-centred behaviour supports
  • CHCDIS017 Facilitate community participation and social inclusion
  • CHCDIS018 Facilitate ongoing skills development using a person-centred approach
  • CHCDIS019 Provide person-centred services to people with disability with complex needs
  • CHCLEG003 Manage legal and ethical compliance
  • CHCMHS001 Work with people with mental health issues
  • HLTWHS003 Maintain work health and safety

Elective:

  • HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication
  • CHCDIS021 Prepare for NDIS support coordination
  • CHCDIS022 Coordinate NDIS participant support*

Enrolment Requirements

For enrolment into CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support, you must have completed:

  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability); or
  • CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability); or
  • CHC30408 Completion of Certificate III in Disability PLUS CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability skill set.

You must provide us with your USI (Unique Student Identifier) number to complete any Nationally Recognized Training.

Eligibility

All applications will be assessed by the JSTA admin team on a case-by-case basis. Students will be required to submit valid forms of photo ID, proof of citizenship/residency/visa status, and complete a student enrolment form. You are eligible for the course if your primary place of residence is in Western Australia, and you are:

  • an Australian citizen; or
  • a permanent visa holder; or
  • a holder of a subclass 300, 309, 444, 445, 461, 785, 786, 790, or 820 visa; or
  • a secondary holder of a temporary visa of subclasses 188, 457, 482, 489, 491, or 494 visa; or
  • a holder of a Bridging Visa E (subclasses 050 and 051) where the visa holder has made a valid application for a visa of subclass 785 or 790; or
  • Ukraine citizens who are holders of a visa subclass 449 or 786; or
  • Afghan citizens who are holders of a visa subclass 499; or
  • a holder of a bridging visa who is eligible to work, and who has made a valid application for a subclass 866.

Lower Fee course

Australian citizens, permanent residents, and some visa holders mentioned above are eligible for the Lower Fee (government-subsidized) course.

Concession: $261.60
Non-concession: $882.90

The student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change based on individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply, such as resource fees and other charges. Please provide information about your visa status, employment status, and country of origin to determine if you qualify for these benefits.

Fee for Service Pricing

Students who are not eligible for any government incentive can still enrol and complete the course by paying a Fee for Service of $2,500.

An initial instalment of $1200, inclusive of a non -refundable administration fee of $200. The balance of the tuition fee can be spread out on a payment plan. The full tuition fee must be paid prior to starting the Work Placement.
