HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
Introduction
Job Skills Training Academy (JSTA) delivers the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course. The course includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as a component.
Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
Who Should Enrol?
The course applies to all individuals or workers who may be required to provide first aid or CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. These include:
- Students studying CHC33021 Certificate III Individual Support
- Learners seeking entry or progression into Aged Care, Disability, Home care providers and Community Services
- Workplaces (large or small)
- Individuals needing basic First Aid training
- Anyone wanting to build real-world first aid confidence
Training Location
Unit 2/22 Winton Rd, Joondalup WA 6027. The venue is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from Joondalup Train Station and easily accessible via Mitchell Freeway, with ample parking available.
Delivery & Duration
This course is delivered via a blended learning model consisting of
- 3–4 hours of self-paced online theory
- 3–4 hours of mandatory face-to-face practical training and assessment
Course Units
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid incorporates
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
Course Content
Training includes CPR for adults, children and infants, AED use, emergency response, injury and illness management, asthma and anaphylaxis response, infection control, legal responsibilities, and workplace incident reporting.
Course Cost
$120 inclusive of training, assessment, and certification. Same-day or fast certificate issue upon successful completion.
