Training Location
Our modern training facilities serve the Alkimos community, providing local residents with easy access to high-quality vocational education. We ensure a supportive environment where students can master personal care and support techniques under the guidance of industry professionals.
Delivery & Duration
- Mode: A blend of classroom-based learning, virtual sessions, and hands-on practical placement.
- Duration: The classroom component is delivered over approximately 15 weeks.
- Work Placement: Includes 160 hours (4 weeks) of supervised experience within a disability service or aged care facility.
- Schedule: Weekly sessions run Monday to Thursday, 9am – 5pm.
- Flexibility: We offer rolling intakes, allowing you to commence your community services journey at a time that suits you. Students have a maximum of 12 months to finalise all requirements.
Your work placement is a vital component of the course, organised to ensure you gain real-world experience as a care worker in a professional setting.

Enrolment Requirements
While there are no formal academic entry requirements, applicants must complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment to ensure they meet ACSF Level 3.
To participate in the mandatory work placement, you must provide:
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Updated Immunisation Record with all COVID as well as flu vaccinations
- NDIS Screening check (This is a requirement from aged care facilities even if you are only doing the ageing stream)
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Hand Hygiene Certificate
- NDIS Orientation module
- Infection Control Certificate
- Working with Children Check

Work Placement
Gaining competency requires the completion of 160 hours of supervised work placement. This stage is crucial for building the confidence needed to function as an effective disability worker or aged care worker, applying person-centred support in a live environment.
Course Fees & Payment Options
- Eligible Students: Subsidised training and fee-free options may be available through Skills WA for Australian citizens and eligible residents.
- Full Fee: $3,000 for non-subsidised enrolments.
- Payment Plan: A $1,200 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot, with flexible payment options available for the remaining balance. All tuition must be finalised before the start of your practical placement.
Student who are not eligible for any government subsidies can still enrol and complete the course by paying $3,000. A $1200 (non-refundable) deposit is required to secure a place of study. The balance of tuition fee can be spread out on a payment plan. The tuition fee amount should be paid in full prior to starting the Work Placement.
