Training Location
Our modern training facility is ideally situated for Heathridge residents: Unit 2/22 Winton Rd, Joondalup WA 6027. Located just a few minutes from Heathridge via Ocean Reef Road or Hodges Drive, the campus is only a 10-minute walk from the Joondalup Train Station. We also provide plenty of free on-site parking for students who prefer to drive.
Delivery & Duration
This course uses a blended learning model, combining face-to-face classroom instruction at our Joondalup venue with virtual study components. The theoretical portion of the course lasts approximately 10 weeks.
In addition to classroom time, students must complete an 80-hour (2-week) supervised work placement. Our team at JSTA coordinates this practical experience, which typically takes place once your classroom training concludes.
Classes are held 4 days a week from 9am to 4.30pm. With our rolling intake system, Heathridge residents can start their disability support training at various times throughout the year.

Work Placement
Full certification requires the completion of 80 hours of practical work within a disability or aged care facility. This hands-on experience is essential for applying your theoretical skills in a real-world environment. Placement begins after all classroom sessions have been successfully attended.
Enrolment Requirements
To apply for the CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support, you must hold a prerequisite certificate. Accepted entry requirements include:
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability); or
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability); or
- CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability plus the bridging skill set.
Applicants must provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) and the following documents for placement clearance:

- Working with Children Check

Eligibility & Lower Fee Pricing
