Training Location

Our modern training facility is conveniently situated for students from Gnangara: Unit 2/22 Winton Rd, Joondalup WA 6027. The campus is easily reached from Gnangara via Ocean Reef Road or Gnangara Road connecting to the Mitchell Freeway. We are a 10-minute walk from the Joondalup Train Station and provide plenty of free on-site parking for students.

Delivery & Duration

The course is delivered through a blended learning model, featuring face-to-face classroom instruction at our venue combined with virtual learning sessions. The theoretical component spans approximately 10 weeks.

In addition to classroom hours, students are required to complete an 80-hour (2-week) supervised work placement. Our team organises this practical experience for you towards the conclusion of your theory training.

Classes run 4 days per week, from 9am to 4.30pm. Our rolling intake schedule means Gnangara residents can start their journey toward a disability support career throughout the year.

Work Placement

To satisfy the requirements of this certification, students must complete 80 hours of practical work in a disability or aged care facility. This placement is vital for applying your classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. Students generally begin their practical hours once all classroom sessions have been attended.

Enrolment Requirements

To apply for the CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support, you must hold one of the following prerequisite certificates:

  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability); or
  • CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability); or
  • CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability plus the required bridging skill set.

You must provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) and the following documentation for work placement clearance:

  • National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current Immunisation Record (including COVID-19 and Flu)
  • NDIS Screening Check
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Infection Control and Hand Hygiene Certificates

Eligibility & Lower Fee Pricing
