The campus is easily reached via Marmion Avenue or the Mitchell Freeway (Hodges Drive exit). It is also within a 10-minute walk from Joondalup Train Station and offers ample on-site parking for students who drive.


Delivery & Duration

  • Delivery Mode: Blended learning combining face-to-face classes with online study

  • Classroom Component: Approximately 10 weeks of structured theory and hands-on workshops

  • Work Placement: 80 hours (around 2 weeks) of supervised practical experience in an approved facility

  • Class Schedule: 4 days per week, 9:00am – 4:30pm

  • Flexible Intakes: Rolling enrolments allow Alkimos residents to commence throughout the year without extended waiting periods

To be awarded the CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support, students must successfully complete 10 units of competency (7 core units and 3 electives).

Work Placement

An 80-hour mandatory work placement forms part of this qualification and allows students to apply their learning in a real-world disability or aged care environment. Work placement commences after classroom training is completed and is arranged with support from our training team.


Entry Requirements

To enrol in this course, applicants must have completed one of the following qualifications:

  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), or

  • CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), or

  • CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability plus the relevant disability support skill set

  • Current Immunisation Record (COVID-19 and Influenza)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Valid First Aid and Infection Control certificates


Eligibility & Lower Fee Pricing

Residents of Alkimos and across Western Australia may be eligible for Lower Fee, government-subsidised training.

  • Concession Fee: $261.60

  • Non-Concession Fee: $882.90

Fees are indicative only and may vary depending on eligibility and enrolment circumstances.

To access subsidised pricing, students must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold an eligible humanitarian or bridging visa.


Fee for Service Option

Students who are not eligible for government funding can enrol under a Fee for Service arrangement.

  • Total Course Fee: $2,500

  • Deposit: $1,200 (non-refundable) to secure enrolment
