Training Location
Our training is delivered at our state-of-the-art Skills Centre, serving the Doubleview community: Unit 2/22 Winton Rd, Joondalup WA 6027 (A convenient commute from Doubleview, situated a 10-minute walk from Joondalup Train Station and easily accessible via the Mitchell Freeway with ample free parking).
Delivery & Duration
- Mode: Blended learning featuring classroom sessions, virtual modules, and a mandatory practical placement.
- Duration: Classroom-based delivery spans approximately 15 weeks.
- Work Placement: 160 hours (4 weeks) of supervised experience in a registered aged care or disability facility.
- Schedule: Classes run Monday to Thursday, from 9am to 5pm.
- Flexibility: We offer rolling intakes throughout the year, allowing you to start almost any time. Students have up to 12 months to satisfy all requirements.
Your work placement is fully coordinated by our team, ensuring you gain the real-world experience necessary to succeed as a care worker.

Enrolment Requirements
There are no formal academic entry requirements for this course. However, all applicants must pass a brief Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment to ensure they meet ACSF Level 3 standards.
To undertake your work placement, you must provide the following:
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Updated Immunisation Record with all COVID as well as flu vaccinations
- NDIS Screening check (This is a requirement from aged care facilities even if you are only doing the ageing stream)
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Hand Hygiene Certificate
- NDIS Orientation module
- Infection Control Certificate
- Working with Children Check

Work Placement
A vital component of this qualification is the 160 hours of supervised work placement. This practical phase is essential for demonstrating competency as a disability support worker or personal care assistant, allowing you to apply classroom theory to real-world care scenarios.
Course Fees & Payment Options
- Eligible Students: Doubleview residents who are Australian citizens or permanent residents may be eligible for fee-free or government-subsidised training via Skills WA.
- Full Fee: $3,000 for students who do not qualify for subsidies.
- Payment Plans: A $1,200 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place. The remaining tuition can be paid via a flexible payment plan, provided the balance is settled before your work placement commences.
Student who are not eligible for any government subsidies can still enrol and complete the course by paying $3,000. A $1200 (non-refundable) deposit is required to secure a place of study. The balance of tuition fee can be spread out on a payment plan. The tuition fee amount should be paid in full prior to starting the Work Placement.
